Student Researcher Spotlight: Shersten Finley (she/her)


Shersten Finley is a graduate student in the Environmental Science & Management department at Portland State University (PSU). Shersten started working in Dr. Haeffner’s Water Justice lab as an undergraduate in 2019. She has worked on several projects including the NERRS Collaborative Science project Determining salt marsh restoration success using focus groups of managers and the public, and past data, the Oregon Waters stories Q-sort project, and the design of the tillamookwatersheds.com website. Her thesis research is focused on ecosystem service flow areas and their demographics for estuary restoration projects on the Oregon coast. She is completing the graduate certificate in Geographic Information Systems, and expects to receive her Masters of Science spring of 2022.
